LONG ISLAND CITY — Mexican fast food chain Chipotle is opening its first location in the neighborhood next year, according to the company.
The popular burrito purveyor will open a new restaurant in Long Island City sometime in the spring of 2016, a spokeswoman for the chain confirmed.
Though she declined to provide a specific address for the future site, sources told The Queens Courier that the eatery will open on Jackson Avenue near Purves Street in Court Square, the paper reported.
The new location will the fourth in Queens for Chipotle, which has restaurants in Forest Hills, Elmhurst and Little Neck, according to its website. Another location is expected to open in Jackson Heights this fall.
