SUNSET PARK — Sunset Park is getting into the holiday spirit.

You don't have to head to Macy's for a photo with Santa or Rockefeller Center to catch a glimpse of a spectacular Christmas tree — the neighborhood will host its holiday tree lighting ceremony Thursday, Dec. 3 with music, entertainment and gifts for kids.

The party will be held at 60th Street and Fifth Avenue, in front of Our Lady of Perpetual Health, organizers at the Sunset Park Business Improvement District said.

The tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m. following a photo-op with Santa Claus from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and music from local choirs, including the Brooklyn Chinese American Association Youth Chorus and the OLPH School Chorus from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

The first 300 children to meet Santa Claus in front of the tree will get a free gift, organizers said.
