BROOKLYN — A driver was killed in Sheepshead Bay Tuesday night when she tried to make a turn but was hit by a teenage motorist, police said.
Marie Beavers, 64, was driving her gold 2003 Toyota Camry east on Emmons Avenue about 6:14 p.m. when she tried to make a left turn onto Nostrand Avenue and was struck by a gray westbound 2015 Lexus, NYPD officials said.
Beavers, of Canarsie, was pronounced dead at Coney Island Hospital, police said.
The Lexus' 18-year-old driver, whose name was not immediately released, stayed at the crash site, police said. There were no immediate arrests.
