ASTORIA — A man armed with an ice pick robbed a Rite Aid in Queens last month, threatening a security guard and making off with a pair of Bluetooth speakers, according to police.

The suspect walked into the Rite Aid on Broadway and 47th Street in Astoria shortly after 5 a.m. on Oct. 28 and snatched up a Bluetooth device and two Bluetooth speakers, according to police.

When a security guard tried to intervene, the suspect pulled an ice pick from his jacket and pointed it at the staffer before leaving the store, police said.

The man then fled on a bicycle heading westbound on Broadway. No one was injured in the incident, according to the NYPD.

The suspect is described as standing 6 feet tall and weighing 210 pounds. He was seen wearing a black knit hat, black leather jacket and light-colored pants, police said.

The store declined to comment.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
