ASTORIA — Police are looking for a thief who broke open an ATM in Queens and stole more than $2,000.
The man swiped the cash from an ATM on 27th Avenue near 18th Street just before 4 a.m. on Oct. 23, making off with $2,100, according to the NYPD.
He was caught on surveillance footage before the incident holding what appears to be a hammer and screwdriver, and tying a white handkerchief around his head to conceal his face, according to video released by police.
