ASTORIA — Two men were killed early Friday after crashing their car into the back of a parked truck on the Grand Central Parkway, according to the NYPD.
Police say the men were driving a black Hyundai Elantra east on the parkway shortly before 3 a.m. when they slammed into the back of a box truck that was parked on the right shoulder of the road, near the 31st Street overpass.
The two men — whose identities were not immediately released — were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver of the box truck, a 35-year-old man, remained on the scene, police said.
