BROOKLYN — A mother of six was fatally struck by an MTA bus while walking outside the crosswalk in Midwood Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Rukhsana Khan, 41, was crossing westbound over Ocean Avenue about 4:49 p.m. when the soutbound BM1 express bus on the avenue struck her near Avenue J.

Khan's family spent Thanksgiving planning her funeral back in her native Pakistan, according to the New York Daily News.

“We had everything planned out, Black Friday, Thanksgiving,” Khan’s 14-year-old son Zakria told the paper.

“We were going to have dinner and everything and after that we were going to go straight to Kings Plaza and we were gonna shop and everything. We were gonna shop until 2, 3 a.m.”

Khan was pronounced dead at New York Community Hospital, police said.

The 47-year-old bus driver remained on the scene and was not immediately arrested, police said.
