
MANHATTAN — A woman was jogging through the East River Park Wednesday night when a man grabbed her by the hair, dragged her to a nearby amphitheater and raped her, reports said.
The 26-year-old woman was in the park near the venue about 7:30 p.m. when the man attacked her, NYPD officials said.
He dragged her by the hair and stole her credit cards and phone, according to the Daily News.
The attacker, who was dressed in all black, fled the scene and had not been arrested Thursday morning, police said.
The woman was treated at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital, where she's listed in stable condition, police said.
The suspect, who had his hair in braids is about 5-feet-8-inches tall and 150 pounds, police said.
