QUEENS — The teenage victim of a stabbing in Rego Park earlier this month is being uncooperative in the investigation, officials said.

The 17-year old was standing on the corner of 63rd Road and 97th Street, in a busy area near the Rego Center Mall, around 1 p.m. when two men riding bicycles attacked him, police said.

He was stabbed in the abdomen, and an 18-year-old who tried to help his friend was was also stabbed in the arm, police said.

The attackers fled towards 98th Street, according to the NYPD.

The injuries to both victims were non life-threatening, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, but so far the 17-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, has been uncooperative, according to the spokesman.

He doesn't live in the neighborhood and has possible ties with the Latin Kings gang, police sources said.
