CONCOURSE — The completion of the city's MillionTreesNYC program has been rescheduled for Nov. 20, with Bette Midler, Michael Bloomberg and Mayor Bill de Blasio all still set to attend.
The New York Restoration Project and the Parks Department teamed up in 2007 to launch MillionTreesNYC, which aimed to plant and take care of 1 million trees across the city by 2017.
The planting of the project's 1 millionth tree was originally set to take place on Oct. 21 but was postponed in the wake of the death of Officer Randolph Holder.
The event is now scheduled for Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. in Joyce Kilmer Park, close to where the first tree of the project was planted.
