EAST HARLEM — A livery cab driver was robbed last week while dropping off a customer at the Wagner Houses.

The 48-year-old driver picked up a man at 162nd Street and Intervale Avenue in The Bronx, about 2 a.m. Wednesday, according to the NYPD.

The man, who appeared to be in his late 50s, asked to be dropped off at First Avenue and 122nd Street, the driver told police officers.

When they reached their destination, the passenger wrapped his arm around the driver’s neck and shoved a solid object into the back of his head. Although he didn’t see a weapon, the driver assumed the object was a gun, police said.

In Spanish, the man asked for the driver’s phone and money. He then ran into the Wagner Houses development.
