CHELSEA — This cookie monster brought his rat.

A man with a white pet rat got into an argument with a bodega clerk over the price of a Grandma's Chocolate Chip cookie, refused to pay and kicked in the store's glass door as he left, according to police.

It happened at 9 a.m. Sunday inside the bodega at 100 Eighth Ave., on the corner of 15th Street, according to police.

The man had not been arrested as of Thursday, according to police.

A 31-year-old bodega worker told police that he argued with the man over the price of the $1 cookie. The man walked out with two cookies but only paid for one, police said.

A bodega manager declined to comment.
