BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Model and actor Tyson Beckford will help highlight the African diaspora with a fundraising event this week benefiting a Brooklyn museum.

Beckford, along with style expert and former beauty editor Tai Beauchamp, hosts “A Brooklyn Backyard Bonfire,” a celebration of the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art.

The Nov. 13 benefit will be held at a Bed-Stuy brownstone and is set to include appearances by singer Jessica Betts and Gbenga Akinnagbe of “The Wire.”

Attendees will learn the event’s location upon ticket purchase and the site remains shrouded in secrecy “for a certain level of intimacy,” according to organizers.

“It’s a location that’s not usually available to the public,” said Cat Miles, MoCADA’s special projects director.

Guests can have their share of spiked apple cider and snacks, as well as participate in the museum’s art auction and finger painting activities.

“We strive to include artistic expression,” Miles said. “There’s no barrier to participating in the arts and it’s a fun way to get everyone involved.”

MoCADA, located at 80 Hanson Pl. in Fort Greene, was founded by Councilwoman Laurie Cumbo in a Bed-Stuy brownstone in 1999.

Tickets to Friday’s event start at $50, with a $100 “Neighbors” option that includes a year-long membership to the museum, among other perks.
