YORKVILLE — A man with a green duffel bag burglarized two homes this week on East 81st Street, stealing $4,265 in jewelry, electronics, clothing and prescription medication, according to the NYPD.

On Monday at 7:45 a.m., a man wearing camouflage pants climbed up the rear fire escape of a woman's apartment on East 81st Street, between East End and York avenues, and took several earrings, a watch, a bracelet, clothing, Apple products and even her identification card, checkbook and Metrocard, totaling $1,765, according to police.

The suspect then moved to the next apartment, belonging to a man, around 9 a.m., using the same fire escape, and stole two Macbook laptops and prescription medications all valued at $2,500, police said.
