INWOOD — A fire broke out inside a building on 207th Street Friday afternoon, damaging businesses on the block, the FDNY said.
No one was injured in the blaze, which was reported a little after 12:05 p.m. at 604 W. 207th St., near Vermilyea Avenue, according to fire officials. It was brought under control about 25 minutes later, the FDNY said.
The address is home to McGivney Brothers Locksmith, which is housed in the same building as the restaurant La Nueva Espana, next door to a large McDonald's on the block.

The locksmith's owner, Danny McGivney, said the blaze originated in La Nueva Espana, causing significant smoke damage to his business.
McDonald's also sustained damage on its ceiling and roof, forcing the fast-food spot to close, manager Luis Fernandez said. He noted that the eatery could not reopen until it received further notice from the corporate office.
La Nueva Espana could not be reached for comment.
The cause of fire is still under investigation, but it was not deemed suspicious, fire officials said.
