CHELSEA — A man who tried to prevent his car from being towed by jumping into the back seat was arrested after he refused to move for an hour, according to the NYPD.

Anatoliy Levchenko, 64, was charged with obstruction of government administration after he wouldn't budge from the backseat of his car, which was illegally parked on 27th Street near Eleventh Avenue, at about 4 p.m. on Oct. 30, police said.

Levchenko, from Sheepshead Bay, remained in the car for an hour but was unable to dissuade the traffic agent not to tow it. He eventually was arrested and given a desk appearance ticket, police said.

No information about the lawyer representing him was available immediately.
