SOUTH BRONX — A robber knocked a man out of his wheelchair and stole his wallet on Monday, police said.

The suspect, who officers have identified as 58-year-old Jose Aguilar, went up to his 52-year-old victim at roughly 10 p.m. inside his building on Southern Boulevard while he was waiting for the elevator and started talking to him, according to the NYPD.

Aguilar then knocked him out of his wheelchair and grabbed his wallet once he was on the floor, which contained his ID and $116, police said.

Aguilar weighs 250 pounds and is 5 feet 10 inches tall, according to the NYPD.
