HELL'S KITCHEN — Late on Halloween night, three robbers wearing metallic skull masks punched a wine bar worker in the face, then forced four others into the bathroom while they raided the cash register, police said.

The robbery happened just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning at Ardesia Wine Bar at 510 52nd St., police said. The robbers made off with $700 cash and a cellphone and had not been caught as of Monday, according to police.

"Open the drawers," one masked robber shouted, police said. "Where's the office?”

Another suspect punched a 27-year-old victim in the face, causing him to bleed, police said. Four people were forced into the bathroom and left cowering there, guarded by one of the robbers while the others raided the register, police said.

The three then fled the scene on foot, police said.

The worker who was on duty at the time of the incident did not respond to a request for comment.
