HARLEM — A 165-foot residential tower and a 9-story hotel is in the works for West 126th Street.

The development would transform an auto body shop on 412 W. 126th St. and a parking lot next door into a 128,700 square foot space with commercial facilities, 75 residential units and enclosed parking, according to plans filed with the Department of Buildings Wednesday.

A representative of the company that filed the plans, 126 Columbia Tower LLC, declined to talk about the project.

The residential tower will be 16-stories tall.

According to the Real Deal, there will be commercial space on the first floor and the top two floors will each have a penthouse unit.

It is not clear from the plans how many rooms they plan to have in the hotel.

The application are pending a zoning approval, according to DOB.

The space is next to what developers are calling the Manhattanville Factory District that includes the Taystee Building, a 340,000-square-foot mixed use space with a commercial, community and retail facility.
