Here's When The Holiday Markets Open

As daylight hours dwindle and temperatures fall, holiday markets are just setting up shop.

DNAinfo New York has rounded up information on the city's holiday marketplaces to help you plan your visit:

Manhattan

► Winter Village Holiday Shops at Bryant Park, Midtown
Duration: Oct. 30 to Jan. 3
Hours: Weekdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
What You'll Find There: The European-style open air market will feature more than 125 boutique-like booths, offering everything from jewelry to local foods.

► Grand Central Holiday Fair, Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Station, Midtown
Duration: Nov. 16 to Dec. 24
Hours: Weekdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
What You'll Find There: For six weeks, 76 vendors will fill one of the train station's halls and sell items such as handbags, clothing and even gifts for pets.

► Union Square Holiday Market, Union Square
Duration:
Nov. 20 to Dec. 24
Hours: Weekdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving.
What You'll Find There: Within the holly-lined booths, artisans from near and far offer patrons everything from silkscreen illustrations to beermaking kits.

► Columbus Circle Holiday Market, 59th St. and Central Park West, Midtown
Duration: Dec. 1 to 24
Hours: Mondays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
What You'll Find There: Stock up on handmade wooden puzzles, artisanal sweets and unique jewelry from New York-based designers.

► Crafts at the Cathedral, Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Ave., Upper West Side
Duration: Dec. 4 to 6
Hours: Fridays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What You'll Find There: 60 artisans will exhibit their work — including ceramic dishes and handmade jewelry — in the Upper West Side cathedral.

Queens

► Astoria Market, Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden, 2919 24th Ave., Astoria
Duration: Dec. 6, 12 and 20
Hours: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
What You'll Find There: For three weekends, the Astoria beer garden will be packed with homemade goods such as beanbag dolls and freshly made cookies.

Brooklyn

► The Winter Flea, 241 37th St., Greenwood
Dates: Ongoing, Every Saturday and Sunday
Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
What You'll Find There: Eclectic jewelry, arts and crafts await at this Brooklyn winter market.

► Bust Magazine Craftacular and Food Fair Holiday, Brooklyn Expo Center, 79 Franklin St., Greenpoint
Duration:
Dec. 19 and 20
Hours: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
What You'll Find There: Now in its ninth year, more than 200 artisans will offer visitors everything from handmade knitwear and jewelry to unique specialty foods and home décor.
