FINANCIAL DISTRICT —  A woman had her $700 Chanel wallet stolen from her handbag as she rode a downtown 4 train last week, police said.

The 29-year-old Financial District woman told police that when she hopped on the 4 train at Grand Central at about 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 21, four men crowded around her.

She felt her bag jostled, but didn't check inside her pocketbook until she reached the Bowling Green stop.

When she got out, she went to grab for her house keys in her bag, then realized the bag was open, and her wallet, which contained several credit cards, was missing.
