EAST HARLEM — Three men were shot in El Barrio during the same week that NYPD Officer Randolph Holder was gunned down while responding to a shootout between rival gangs, police say.

Officers do not suspect the three non-fatal shootings are connected to Holder’s death, but community advocates say the fact that they all happened within a span of days, and all in the NYPD's 25th Precinct, has left East Harlem in shock.

“The murder of Police Officer Holder really took it to another level,” said neighborhood advocate Clark Pena.

“These are our guardians. They are here to protect us. When they are taken down what does that say about us? There is an uneasiness in the air like we are next.”

One of the shooters was arrested, according to the NYPD.

Pena said he has seen fewer people out walking at night and noticed a sense of uneasiness in El Barrio.

The week’s first shooting happened on Oct. 19, about 4:15 p.m., at 2022 Lexington Ave.

Officer Paul Bliss responded to calls of shots fired when he saw a 49-year-old man bleeding profusely from the throat near the crime scene. The victim told officers that he was shot by Glennie Snyder, who had threatened to kill him back in September, prosecutors said.

Snyder, who spent more than 30 years in a state prison for murder, had an outstanding warrant for a parole violation, records show.

His attorney did not immediately respond to a voicemail seeking comment.

Investigators arrested Snyder and recovered a shell casing from a .380-caliber gun, police said.

Snyder was charged with attempted murder. He is being held without bail and is due in court Thursday.

The Snyder shooting happened the day before Holder was gunned down during a shootout on 102nd Street and FDR Drive.

Two days later, on Oct. 22, just before 9 p.m., a gunman collecting a debt wounded a man at 28 E. 130th St., police said.

“Where’s my money at?” the suspect said, before shooting the 35-year-old victim twice in the shoulder and once in the torso.

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital and is expected to survive the shooting, according to the NYPD.

Details on the motive of the final shooting are scarce.

A 37-year-old man was walking south along First Avenue on Oct. 24 at 11:20 p.m. when the shooter, wearing a blue hoodie, pulled a gun out of his waistband, police said.

As soon as the gun came out, the victim ran away.

The victim escaped with a leg wound and was able to limp down the block until he spotted paramedics, police said.

“We are telling people put the guns down,” Pena said. “Let’s find a way to find a dialogue. We have to work together.”
