BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Neighbors along Hancock Street are planning a candlelight prayer vigil Sunday in memory of the two residents killed in Tuesday night’s fire.

Locals will gather near the site of the 103 Hancock St. blaze “to help the block heal and honor its own,” according to organizers.

Tyrone Corely, a 56-year-old DJ affectionately nicknamed “Mr. Wonderful,” died Tuesday after a fire spread through the brownstone’s second and third floors.

Fellow tenant Stanley ‘Curtis’ Wilkie, 47, was rushed to Interfaith Medical Center for smoke inhalation and succumbed to his injuries Wednesday morning, according to police.

Officials are investigating the deaths as homicides and deemed the fire suspicious after discovering that an accelerant was used inside the building.

Two other women were taken to Kings County Hospital for smoke inhalation and were listed in stable condition, police said.

“We are all devastated, as our block and community witnessed the horror of this violation to our human family,” a flyer from the Hancock Street Neighborhood Association #1 reads.

A committee of residents are scheduled to meet on Saturday to coordinate donations and assistance to the victims and their families.

The donation meeting will take place Saturday, Oct. 24 at 10:30 a.m. in front of 97 Hancock St. A vigil is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 25 on Hancock Street between Bedford and Nostrand avenues starting at 6 p.m.
