HELLS KITCHEN — A few lucky apartment hunters could earn themselves an affordable unit in the Durst Organization's pyramid-shaped development near the West Side Highway on 57th Street.
Applications are due on Oct. 29 to live in VIA 57 at 625 W. 57th St. The 709-unit complex will include 142 affordable apartments with monthly rents of between $565 a month for a studio to $1,067 a month for three-bedrooms, according to officials.

In all, there are 28 affordable studios, 94 one-bedroom, 15 2-bedroom and five three-bedroom units, according to the officials.
The mixed-use building will offer a "variety of 'living rooms," a pool, a fitness center, a basketball court, golf simulator, children's playroom, a library, poker room, screening room and gallery — though additional fees apply.
The building is slated to open at some point in 2016, according to the listing.
The majority of the affordable units available have an income cap for applicants of between $19,622 to $50,100 per year.
