MARINERS HARBOR — A farebeater on a Staten Island bus was arrested after police found a gun on him, police said.

Parker Hemenway, 17, allegedly got onto an S48 bus in front of 130 South Ave. without paying the fare on Thursday at about 7 p.m., prosecutors said.

While on the bus, Hemenway took out a loaded .22 caliber revolver from his sweatshirt pocket and put it on the floor of the bus, where it was recovered by police, prosecutors said.

When police arrested him they found a small Ziploc bag of marijuana on Hemenway, prosecutors said.

Hemenway was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of marijuana and theft of services at his Friday arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

His bond was set at $2,500 and he's due back in court on Dec. 8, according to online court records.

Hemenway's lawyer could not reached for comment.
