Police Searching for Missing 11-Year-Old Longwood Boy

LONGWOOD — Police are looking for an 11-year-old boy who went missing on his way to school in the South Bronx Friday morning.

Jayshawn Jackson was last seen leaving his home at 1294 Hoe Ave. at about 7:15 a.m. last week, police said.

The boy has brown eyes and black hair, stands roughly 5-foot-1 and weighs 90 pounds, according to the NYPD.

Jackson was last seen in a black hooded sweatshirt, black sneakers, a brown bubble jacket, tan pants and a burgundy shirt, police said.

Anyone with information about Jackson is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.
