MANHATTAN — A man was shot in East Harlem in broad daylight Monday afternoon, according to fire officials and witnesses.

The shooting happened in front of 2022 Lexington Ave. near East 123rd Street at about 4:20 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

The man was standing at the corner when another man dressed in all black ran up and shot him in his upper torso, a witness told DNAinfo New York.

"It was lucky no else got shot," said the 50-year-old witness, who declined to give his name out of safety concerns.

A pickup truck then hit the shooter as he was trying to flee east on 123rd Street, according to several witnesses.

The suspect was able to get up after the collision and kept running, and the truck also fled the scene, a witness added.

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital.

Witnesses said he was conscious and talking to responders while he was put in the ambulance.
