RANDALL'S ISLAND — A man sat on an MTA bus driver and punched him in the face as he was driving the M60 across the Triborough Bridge into Queens, police said.

Charles Holden, 47, was sweating heavily just before 1 a.m. on Oct. 8 when he entered the bus and picked a fight with a 44-year-old passenger wearing sunglasses, police said.

Holden told the man, “You make me nervous, I don’t like your glasses,” before trying to take the man’s bag, according to police.

When several bus riders stepped up to help the man, Holden ran to the front of the bus, police said.

He allegedly sat on the 42-year-old driver and punched him in the face leaving the driver with cuts and bruises. The bus’ windshield was cracked during the attack.

Holden was arrested for assaulting a transit worker, attempted robbery and resisting arrest, records show.

He is being held on Rikers Island on $20,000 bail and is due in court Friday.

His attorney declined to comment.
