Man Steals $10 From Woman After Forcibly Kissing Her, Police Say

STAPLETON — A thief kissed a woman and then demanded money from her on a Staten Island street last month, police said.

On Sept. 21, an 18-year-old woman was walking near Irving Place and Vanderbilt Avenue at about 2:50 p.m. when a man approached her and brought her onto Irving Place, police said.

The man forcibly kissed her and groped her before demanding money, police said.

The victim gave him $10 and he fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect was described as between 18 to 25 years old, about 5-feet 5-inches tall and 140 pounds.
