NEW YORK CITY — Commuters flooded social media with gripes about the MTA after a series of problems caused delays and service changes Tuesday.
For once, just once, I would like my commute to be uneventful @MTA

Starting about 6 a.m., at least 12 lines experienced some sort of service disruption, according to the MTA.
The M line was disrupted because a train had mechanical problems at Broadway-Lafayette. A Briarwood rail condition delayed F trains. A police investigation at 59th Street disrupted 6 trains.
At least five lines were disrupted because of a sick customer, an MTA spokesman said.
#ServAdv: n/b #F via #G Bergen St to Roosevelt Av, due to a sick customer at Jay St. Allow additional travel time.

Riders were annoyed by the slew of disruptions.
Nothing like the @mta ruining your morning with train traffic ahead at one stop for 15 minutes. Great job at being terrible guys

Other tweets sent out on rush hour problems were too graphic to mention.
Tuesday's disruptions come as the city and state agreed to shell out $10.8 billion to bridge the gap in the authority's $26.1 billion improvement plan.
