QUEENS — It's been a long wait for New York Mets fans but the team's first World Series appearance since 2000 starts Tuesday night.
The first pitch of game one against another team suffering from a World Season drought, the Kansas City Royals, will be thrown out at 8:07 p.m. at Ewing M. Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
The pitching matchup will see Mets ace Matt Harvey face off against fellow right-hander Edinson Volquez.
Game one of the World Series airs on Fox.
On the radio, the game will air on 710 WOR and ESPN New York 98.7 FM.
