EAST HARLEM — He was gone in 13 seconds.

A nimble-fingered thief swiped more than $3000 from a locked food delivery truck using a screwdriver for a key.

“Thirteen seconds, that’s how fast it happened,” said Shelbie James, who witnessed the theft. “He walked up to the truck, jimmied the door, got inside and took the money pouch.”

The break-in happened just after noon at 11 East 125th St. on October 7, according to the NYPD.

After the man took the money, he got into a car that was waiting for him and drove off, she added.

The driver of the refrigerated truck was making a delivery to a business across the street, police said.

James initially thought the man was part of the truck’s crew but she knew something was wrong as soon as she saw him pull out a screwdriver from his sleeve, she said.
