HUNTERS POINT — More pains are in store for 7 train riders next month.
Service on the line between Manhattan and Queens will be suspended for two weekends in November as the MTA continues work on a number of ongoing construction projects, according to an update on the agency's website.
There will be no trains between Queensboro Plaza and the new 34th Street-Hudson Yards station during the weekends of Nov. 6-9 and 13-16, according to the MTA.
Shuttle buses will operate between the stations, while straphangers looking to get between the two boroughs can take alternate lines, including the N, Q or R trains from Queensboro Plaza or the E, F and G trains from nearby Queens Plaza.
The changes are due to ongoing work on three major improvement projects on the 7 line, including the installation of a new signal system.
The work has caused frequent weekend service disruptions for 7 train riders in recent years — particularly for straphangers in Hunters Point, who've even held protests about the shutdowns.
But MTA officials say the construction work is needed to keep the line running well.
"These projects will bring a modern, state-of-the-art signal system and reliable, resilient infrastructure upgrades to the 7 subway Line," the agency said in a statement.
