Mugger With 'Brooklyn' Neck Tattoo Robs Man at Knife Point, Police Say

SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG — A mugger with a neck tattoo spelling out "Brooklyn" robbed a man at knife point over the weekend, police said.

The 25-year-old victim was waiting for a bus near Broadway and Havemeyer Street on Saturday, Oct. 3, around 11 p.m. when he was approached by the tattoed man and a male accomplice, who asked for the time, police said.

The inked-up suspect then flashed a knife and demanded property, while the other went through the vicitm's pocket and took $250 worth of items, including $200 in cash, a prepaid card and a Fossil wallet, police said.

The two suspects then fled on bicycles along Havemeyer Street.

The tattooed suspect was described as about 25 years old, standing 5-foot-10, weighing 180 pounds and wearing a blue du-rag, police said.

The second suspect was described as about 25 years old, standing 6-foot-1, weighing 180 pounds, wearing gray outerwear and blue jeans, police said.

Police are investigating the incident.
