NEW YORK CITY - Service along the 7 train resumed Thursday night after it was shut down in both directions because of signal problems, according to the MTA's website.

Service along the 7 line was suspended for about an hour before being resumed with residual delays shortly after 7 p.m., according to the MTA's website.

Straphangers could be seen huddling under umbrellas while they waited to board the Q66 bus near Queens Plaza.

Crowds of people were also seen waiting outside of the Queensboro Plaza station.

The MTA did not immediately respond to a request for additional comment about the signal issues.
