GOWANUS — A shopper at Whole Foods had her $600 Givenchy wallet and credit cards for Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale's stolen when she left her purse unattended in her shopping cart, according to a police report.

The theft happened on Sept. 24 at 6:05 p.m. at the Whole Foods on Third Street and Third Avenue in Gowanus, according to the report.

Other notable crimes from the 78th Precinct blotter include the following, with details drawn from police reports:

► A 38-year-old mom had her computer stolen after she left it in her stroller at Culture yogurt shop at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 24.

► A 30-year-old woman from Staten Island was looking up directions on her phone near Fourth Avenue and Sackett Street at 4:55 p.m. on Sept. 26 when two teens on bikes rode up and snatched her Samsung Galaxy out of her hand.

► A burglar swiped $600 in cash out of a 36-year-old woman’s apartment on 13th Street near Fourth Avenue on Sept. 24. The burglar entered through the rear fire escape while she was at work.

► A 2012 Honda CRV with a Marathon car seat inside was stolen from 11th Street and Seventh Avenue on Sept. 13 roughly 9 a.m.

► A 40-year-old man was texting on a southbound F train on Sept. 23 at 3:15 p.m. when a thief snatched his cell phone, then ran off the train just as the doors were closing at the Fourth Avenue-Ninth Street station.

► A $1,200 drill and $250 chop saw were stolen from a work site at 47 Fourth Ave. on Sept. 25 at about 4 p.m.

Overall, major crimes in the 78th Precinct have increased 3.02 percent this year compared to the same period in 2014, according to the latest stats from the NYPD.
