TRIBECA — A 23-year-old was beaten and robbed by three men who were after his LG cell phone, police said.
The victim told police that three young men followed him into Argo Electronics, a longtime electronics surplus store at 391 Canal St., on Sept. 23 at about 5 p.m.
One of the men asked him for his cell phone, then turned violent, punching him the face and kicking him in the leg, according to a police report. Another displayed a knife, but didn't use it, police said.
His attacker then grabbed his cell phone, and the trio ran off.
Argo Electronics did not immediately return request for comment.
Police were still investigating the incident.
