Man Robs Staten Island Bagel Store at Gunpoint, Police Say

CASTLETON CORNERS — A man robbed a Staten Island bagel store at gunpoint early Friday morning, police said.

The suspect walked into the Manor Suprette & Bagels, 931 Manor Road, at about 2:50 a.m. and pointed a gun at the 28-year-old male worker inside, police said. He demanded money and then fled with $1,395 from the store.

There were no injuries reported in the robbery, police said.

Police described the suspect as approximately 5-foot 7 and 180 pounds, last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and light colored jeans and he was holding an orange handkerchief.
