QUEENS — A man was gunned down in Astoria early Monday morning, police said.
The 26-year-old man, whose name was not immediately released, was outside 25-86 Steinway St., near 28th Avenue, about 4 a.m. when he and another man started arguing, NYPD officials said.
The second man reached into a white BMW to get a gun that he then fired at the victim, an NYPD spokesman said.
Investigators recovered 10 shell casings, the spokesman said.
The 26-year-old was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Queens hospital, police said.
The shooter fled the scene in his BMW and was not immediately arrested, police said.
It was not immediately clear what the initial dispute was about.
