CHELSEA — A guerrilla ad campaign for a new app went haywire when its founder got nabbed red-handed slapping stickers on a lamp post advertising the program, police said.
Police caught Olivia Wachberger, 22, on Sept. 19 with a wad of unstuck stickers for her soon-to-be-released app Crisscross on the northwest corner of 10th Avenue and 21st Street, according to the NYPD.
They cuffed her at about 6:15 p.m. and released her shortly afterward with a desk appearance ticket on graffiti charges, police said.
Wachberger, a Gramercy resident who originally hails from California, is the CEO and founder of Crisscross, according to her LinkedIn page.
Crisscross lets you “Catch Up and Link Up with your friends,” according to its website. It also appears to have a travel component that allows you to share pictures of your travels with friends, according to its Facebook page.
