UPPER WEST SIDE — Bloomingdale's announced this week it will open its new Upper West Side outlet store in late November 2015.
The new store, the first Bloomingdale's Outlet in New York City, is replacing an Urban Outfitters at 2085 Broadway at West 72nd Street. Urban Outfitters closed in June and the space has been undergoing renovations throughout the summer.
The 25,000-square-foot outlet will occupy three floors and sell "off-price" clothes and accessories for women, men and children, as well as women's shoes, jewelry, handbags and intimates, the store said in March when it released its plans.
Bloomingdale's is expanding the Outlet concept across the country, and is also opening stores in Philadelphia and San Diego in November 2015.
By November, the retailer will have 16 Bloomingdale's Outlets nationally, according to a press release.
