PARK SLOPE — A business where customers can brush their cares away by painting and drinking wine has opened on Fifth Avenue and Sixth Street.

Pinot's Palette, the first Park Slope outpost of a national franchise, opened Sept. 19 at 382 Fifth Ave. The owner is a former NYPD officer who was "tired of the craziness" of his job, he told DNAinfo New York in July.

The shop offers group painting sessions led by a professional artist. Painters can sip booze while they work and the lessons are a good group activity for bridal showers and kids' birthday parties — with cake instead of alcohol, owner Scott Drummond told DNAinfo New York.

Other recent comings and goings on the neighborhood's restaurant and retail scene include the following:

► The collectibles shop Antique Raiders opened at 411 Seventh Avenue between 14th and 15th streets in the space previously occupied by Sweet Charity, South Slope News reported.

Windsor Roast House, a restaurant specializing in roasted meats, opened recently at 426 Seventh Ave. and 14th Street.

Tea & Tea, a cafe serving bubble tea and Taiwanese snacks, opened recently at 427 Seventh Ave. near 14th Street in the space last occupied by Parco.

► A new bar called North Pole Pub, whose owners also own Bar 718 in the South Slope, replaced Black Sheep Pub recently at 428 Bergen St.

► The women's clothing boutique Poppy will close within a few weeks, Racked reported. The shop opened two years ago at 217 Fifth Ave. near Union Street.

► The Greek restaurant Okeanos at 314 Seventh Ave. and Eighth Street closed after five years in business, Park Slope Stoop reported.

► The gift shop Loom at 115 Seventh Ave. and President Street closed recently after its owner decided to retire.
