NEW YORK - Thirteen subway lines are scheduled for service disruptions this weekend as the MTA continues to make upgrades to tracks, stations and signal systems.
Here's a breakdown by line:
1 train:
The entire 1 train line will be shut down for maintenance from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. 2 and 3 trains will make local stops from Chambers Street to 96th Street, and free shuttle buses will operate between 1 train stations south of Chambers Street and north of 96th Street.
2 train: The 2 train run local in both directions between Chambers Street and 96th Street from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
3 train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 3 trains run local in both directions between Chambers Street and 96th Street.
Until late October 2015, 3 trains skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions. Free shuttle buses will be available.
For service to and from Rockaway Avenue, take a shuttle buse to Saratoga Avenue.
Shuttle buses to Pennsylvania Avenue will also transport straphangers traveling to and from Van Siclen Avenue.
Free transfers will be available with a MetroCard.
4 train: Until late October 2015, 4 trains skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions. Free shuttle buses will be available.
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Crown Heights-Utica Avenue-bound 4 trains run express from 125th Street to Grand Central.
5 train: 5 trains are suspended in both directions between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday,
Free shuttle buses will operate all weekend between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street, stopping at Baychester Avenue, Gun Hill Road, Pelham Parkway and Morris Park.
Transfer between trains and shuttle buses at East 180th Street.
6 train: Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall-bound 6 trains run express from 125th Street to Grand Central from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Manhattan-bound 6 trains run express from Pelham Bay Park to Hunts Point Avenue.
6 trains run every 16 minutes between Third Avenue-138th Street and Pelham Bay Park from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
A train: From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, A trains be suspended in both directions between Euclid Avenue and Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard. A train service operates in two sections between Inwood-207th Street and Euclid Avenue, and between Rockaway Boulevard and Far Rockaway every 20 minutes.
Free shuttle buses run between Euclid Avenue and Lefferts Boulevard, stopping at Grant Avenue, 80th Street, 88th Street, Rockaway Boulevard, 104th Street and 11th Street. Transfer between trains and free shuttle buses at Euclid Avenue and/or Rockaway Boulevard.
Until winter 2016, all Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains skip 80th Street.
For service to 80th Street, take a Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train to 88th Street and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.
For service from 80th Street, take a Brooklyn-bound A train to Grant Avenue and transfer to a Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train.
At all times until winter 2016, Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains skip 111th Street.
For service to 111th Street, take a Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train to Lefferts Boulevard and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.
For service from 111th Street, take the Q112 bus, days and evenings. Or, take a Brooklyn-bound A train to 104th Street and transfer to a Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train.
D train: Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound D trains will be rerouted via the N line from 36th Street to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday.
E train: From 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, and on Sunday, World Trade Center-bound E trains skip Briarwood and 75th Avenue.
F train: Jamaica-179th Street-bound F trains run express from Neptune Avenue to Smith-9th Streets from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jamaica-179th Street-bound F trains run express from West Fourth Street to 34th Street-Herald Square.
At all times until fall 2015, Jamaica-179th Street-bound F trains skip Ditmas Avenue.
For service to Ditmas Avenue, take a Jamaica-179th Street-bound F train to Church Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F train.
For service from Ditmas Avenue, take a Coney Island-bound F train to 18th Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-179th Street-bound F train.
Until fall 2015, all Jamaica-179th Street-bound F trains skip Avenue X.
For service to Avenue X, take a Jamaica-bound F train to Avenue U and transfer to a Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F train.
Take a Coney Island-bound F train to Neptune Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-179th Street-bound F train for service from Avenue X.
N train: Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound N trains are rerouted via the R line from Canal Street to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Trains stop at City Hall, Cortlandt Street, Rector Street, Whitehall Street, Court Street, Jay Street-Metrotech and DeKalb Avenue.
Astoria-bound N trains are rerouted via the D line from Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue to 36th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Q train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound Q trains run express from Prospect Park to Kings Highway.
Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound Q trains are rerouted via the R line from Canal Street to DeKalb Avenue from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
R train: From 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, R service is extended to the Jamaica-179th Street F station.
36th Street-bound R trains stop at 53rd Street and 45th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and from 11:45 Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
