MIDTOWN — 7 train service resumed after being halted between Manhattan and Queens for more than two hours Thursday afternoon because of a track problem at Fifth Avenue, according to the MTA.
Service was disrupted at about 1:45 p.m. because of a broken rail and trains did not start running again until about 4 p.m. with residual delays.
It has been an up and down week for the line.
The long-delayed Hudson Yards 7 train station finally opened on Sunday.
The 7 was also named the city’s best, and worst, line in two separate surveys.
Riders can check the MTA's website for additional service updates.
