WOODSIDE — A man stole $20 from the cash register at a Queens laundromat, pulling out a knife when he was confronted by the owner of the business, according to police.

The suspect was caught on video sauntering up to the front door of the Lung Fai Laundromat at 58-07 Woodside Ave. shortly after 7 a.m. on Tuesday, holding what appears to be a cup of coffee in his hand.

He pried open the door and then opened a gate and stepped behind the counter, where he swiped $20 from the cash drawer, according to the NYPD.

The suspect pulled out a knife when the owner of the laundromat approached him, and then fled, police said.

The suspect was captured on video entering the laundromat wearing a baseball hat, white sneakers and jeans, according to the video released by police.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
