HUDSON SQUARE — A drunk driver who took a joy ride against Holland Tunnel traffic Tuesday night was arrested after vials of what looked like cocaine were found in her car, according to the Port Authority Police.

“I didn’t do that yet,” said Tonnie G. Schaus, 34, to officers who found the drugs after stopping the BMW she was driving the wrong way on Varick Street approaching the Holland Tunnel around 7 p.m, the PAPD said.

Schaus told police with watery bloodshot eyes, a flushed face and slurred speech she "didn't want to go to New Jersey." She then failed all three sobriety tests officers administered, according to authorities.

The passenger on the wild ride, David Perlow, 58, was also found to be sitting on another vial of suspected cocaine, the PAPD said.

Both Schaus and Perlow were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to PAPD.

After cursing, screaming and refusing to get in the police vehicle, Schaus was also charged with resisting arrest in addition to operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, reckless driving and refusal to take a breathalyzer test, said the PAPD.
