BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police are searching for three people who assaulted a man in a Franklin Avenue subway station elevator, officials said.

The 56-year-old victim was riding an elevator at the Bed-Stuy train stop around 11 a.m. on Aug. 31 when a woman began to argue with him, police said.

The suspect and a second woman started to repeatedly punch him in the head and body and were joined by another man who entered and attacked the victim.

The trio fled the scene and was unknown to the victim, according to an NYPD spokeswoman.

The man suffered lacerations, bruises and pain to his head, police said.

Officials released surveillance photos of the suspects on Tuesday.

Police describe one woman as between 25 and 30 years old, 5-foot-3, with long, braided black hair. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, light blue sweatsuit and white sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a woman between 25 and 30 years old, 5-foot-1, with braided black hair, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and pink tights.

The man is described as approximately 30 years old with long, braided black hair. He was last seen in a dark-colored shirt, beige shorts and black sneakers.
