UPPER WEST SIDE — Following a slew of new coffee shops in the neighborhood, a batch of new bakeries is opening within the next few months.

From babka to French toast to 4-foot-long pizzas, these new shops will cater to all your carb-loading needs.

Here are the five bakeries opening over the next five months:

Orwasher's
440 Amsterdam Ave. at West 81st Street
Opening Fall 2015

The bakery has had a location on the Upper East Side for generations and is now opening its second Manhattan outpost inside a former pet supply store on Amsterdam Avenue. Bread will be baked on site as well as in Orwasher's Bronx ovens. This new location will also serve sandwiches and salads to go, owner Keith Cohen said.

Breads Bakery
1890 Broadway at West 63rd Street
Opening October 2015

Breads Bakery is run by an Israeli chef who bakes bread using traditional methods to gain as much flavor as possible. The products are "baked throughout the day in small batches to ensure unparalleled freshness," said a spokeswoman. The bakery is known for its chocolate babka, challah and rugelach, among other treats and daily breads.

Farinella Bakery
267 Amsterdam Ave. near West 72nd Street
Opening September 2015

Farinella is primarily known for its pizza pies, but this Italian bakery also serves focaccia and rustic bread known as Italian Casereccio.  The bakery already has two locations, one in Midtown and the other on the Upper East Side, and delivers to Central Park.

The owner said there will be a small eat-in area with around a dozen seats and the bakery hopes to get a wine and beer license. They will serve their special Roman 4-foot-long pizzas as well, he said.

Boule & Cherie
170 Amsterdam Ave. at West 68th Street
Opening: to be determined

This Parisian bakery is opening in the ground floor of a new luxury development, as first reported by the West Side Rag.

Kirsh Kitchen and Bakery
551 Amsterdam Ave. at West 87th Street
Opening Early November 2015

Kirsh Kitchen and Bakery is opening in the spot vacated by Popover Cafe, as first reported by West Side Rag. Kirsh will serve French bistro food all day and have a bakery stocked with cakes, pies, breads and jams, according to owner Dan Kirsh.

The restaurant will specialize in breakfast food, with a "breakfast concierge" delivering treats like Kirsh's special French Toast to your door, he said.

The pastries have a "German/French influence" and they'll serve an Irving Farm coffee blend, Kirsh said.
