MEATPACKING DISTRICT — Kardashian sweet spot Sugar Factory has relocated to a much bigger space on Washington Street, to make room for a massive redevelopment of Gansevoort Street between Ninth Avenue and Washington Street.

The restaurant was at 46 Gansevoort St., which anchors the corner of the block at Ninth Avenue. That space will remain largely unchanged in the redevelopment, except for some touch-ups to the facade, removal of signage and restoration of the marquee.

Sugar Factory's new three-floor "brasserie" and candy store at 835 Washington St. has two floors of dining, including two bars and a private party room, totaling 250 seats.

The private party room comes with a personal candy store that can be customized to hold guests' favorite sweets.

A 68-seat underground level set to open in the next few weeks will hold the Chocolate Lounge, a bar and lounge space serving cocktails and chocolate pairings, plus fondues and savory crepes.

A 60-seat sidewalk cafe is also in the works, with a to-go counter offering 12 flavors of gelato and "artisanal" doughnuts year-round. The candy store will hold 300 of the brand's signature sweets, like the celebrity-designed "Couture Pops," and merchandise.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night eats, including giant sandwiches, salads and pizzas, along with an expansive dessert menu features fresh-baked waffles and crepes and gourmet chocolate fondue fountains, Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., Friday and Saturday until 2 a.m. The Chocolate Lounge will open at 5 p.m.

The enterprise is frequented by the Kardashians and has locations all over the U.S. as well as in Bahrain and, soon, the Philippines.

Kylie Jenner will host the restaurant's grand opening on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Reservations are still available for that night, according to a restaurant spokeswoman, and can be booked by calling 212-414-8700.)

The space at 835 Washington St. previously held a Thai restaurant, and decades ago was the home of the Mineshaft, a BDSM-themed gay sex club frequented by photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, with a dress code that prohibited rugby shirts and designer sweaters.

Correction: The headline of this article previously stated the restuarant moved "After Ouster By Gansevoort Project." A spokeswoman for the restaurant said Sugar Factory signed the lease for their new space a year ago and the move was not forced by the Gansevoort redevelopment.
