FORDHAM — Southbound Metro-North trains were running with delays after a train struck a bicycle on the tracks near the Fordham station on Monday, officials said.
Nobody was injured and passengers resumed their commute after half an hour delay, according to the FDNY.
It was unclear how the bicycle ended up on the tracks, authorities said.
Smoke was reported at the scene of the accident, but the FDNY said there was no fire.
Trains were running with delays of about 15 minutes in both directions Monday afternoon, the MTA said.
